The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences expanding in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of heroes who will split off from the main group to begin their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

With a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might seem mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team understands precisely where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—used the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the party reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.

This leaves them little choice but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to round up the Questers and Schemers tables.

Fans can expect discovering which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
